I wish....

To dive down into the ocean, 
to get far away from this burning fire
Desperate to believe in the notion,
that separated from all, I could respire

To stand naked in the rain;
let the putrid dissolve in the pure
Absolved I'd stand from this pain,
wishing it'd now become obscure

To have just one more of myself
who could look inside and find me
Even if he be but just a mirage
he'd be real enough for me

But then I look around and find
you all, standing beside me
from that perspiration on your brow
I reckon, my wishes aren't unique after all...
